Couples Week – FISH CONTEST WINNERS!!

Well, our couples week has come and gone and the results are in.  It was a great week enjoyed by all and we just had to share what a great week of fishing the Rundahl’s had at Wawang Lake.

When some people say it can’t be done Dave and Brenda turned the boat around, headed out to deeper water and showed ’em just what fishing is about, and, got right down on the job of not only fishing, but, CATCHING – & BIG ONES too!

Not only did they catch these nice size trophy walleye (shown below) but they were boating a great number of walley between 21″ and 24″ as well…….lots of them!  So needless to say there was plenty of walleye action out on the lake for this happy couple.

Our CONGRATULATION goes out to Dave & Brenda Rundahl for winning the fishing contest this week along with our appreciation for participating in our Couples Week at Wawang Lake Resort and making it a HUGE success.  THANK YOU 🙂

WE HAVE OUR WINNERS!!  Our final tally for the fish derby is done and I suspect our participants are done too since the last day was cold, rainy and very windy.  Without a doubt these anglers took a beating out on the lake, but, we have to respect each and everyone of them for their sheer determination to win this contest.  They did not give up and fished to the very last minute that the timeline allowed.  Our congratulations goes to all the 2013 Fish Derby participants along with a BIG thanks for entering 🙂

$2500 Fish Derby – Update

Kent is presently holding 2nd place on the second last day of the fish derby

The fish derby at Wawang Lake has been progressing nicely with a lot of numbers (walleye & northern) being recorded along with those trophy sized fish needed for winning totals.  The weather has been holding somewhat with the occasional storm blowing through almost every day causing some downtime on the lake making it a little frustrating for our participants.  However, they are all aggressively seeking out those trophy fish and working very hard at it.  We’ll be posting the winners at the end of the fish derby for all to see
